Three Ways to Split Your PDF
Visual Selection
See up to the first 100 page thumbnails and click to select the ones you want. For later pages in a larger document, use Page Ranges.
Tip: Click the magnifying glass to preview full-size, then use the arrow buttons to reorder selected pages.
Page Ranges
Enter ranges like "1-5, 8-10, 15" to extract specific sections. Each range becomes a separate PDF file.
Example: "1-3, 5-7" creates 2 PDFs - one with pages 1-3, another with pages 5-7.
Single Pages
Extract every page as a separate PDF file. Great for breaking a document into individual pages for distribution.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I split a PDF without losing quality?
Page content is copied instead of rasterized, but complex features such as bookmarks, links, forms, annotations, and signatures still need verification in the new file.
Will my files be stored?
Visual previews are generated in your browser. When you create the result, the browser uploads the document over HTTPS for temporary processing. PDFMK does not keep an account-based document history. See Security & File Handling.
Can I reorder pages when splitting?
Yes! In Visual Selection mode, you can reorder selected pages before creating the new PDF.
What if my PDF has many pages?
Thumbnails load in batches, with visual selection available for the first 100 pages. For later pages, use Page Ranges or Single Pages. If a large or complex PDF fails, try a smaller copy or an approved desktop tool.
