Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PDFMK processes when you use the website and its document tools, why that processing occurs, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to pdfmk.com, its PDF-processing API, and the tools available from the site. PDFMK does not currently offer user accounts or permanent cloud document storage. If a future feature changes that model, this policy will be updated before that feature is described as covered by the current terms.

2. Documents you submit

When you choose a file and start a tool, your browser uploads the document over HTTPS to the PDFMK API. The service processes the file only to perform the requested operation, such as merging, splitting, watermarking, previewing, or rendering pages as PNG images. Depending on the tool, processing occurs in memory or in a short-lived temporary working directory. The output is returned to your browser, and cleanup removes temporary working files after processing completes or fails.

PDFMK does not use document contents for advertising profiles, analytics, model training, or sale to data brokers. A document is not added to a user-accessible library. For a tool-by-tool explanation and guidance on sensitive files, see Security & File Handling.

3. Technical and usage data

Like most hosted websites, PDFMK and its infrastructure providers may process request data needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include IP address, request time, requested URL, response status, browser and device information, referring page, approximate region derived from IP address, and security signals. We use this data to operate the service, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage.

Error records should describe the failed operation rather than store document content. Do not place sensitive information in filenames, support emails, or bug-report text.

PDFMK uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors navigate and interact with site pages. Clarity may process pseudonymous browser identifiers, IP-derived location, device and browser information, page views, clicks, scrolling, navigation patterns, and session recordings. We use these insights to find confusing controls, broken layouts, and other usability problems. PDFMK does not intentionally provide uploaded PDF contents to Clarity.

4. Advertising and similar technologies

PDFMK uses Google AdSense to support the site. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device information, and other identifiers to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads, depending on your region and consent choices. Advertising systems process page and browser information; PDFMK does not send the content of an uploaded PDF to Google for ad targeting.

Google explains how it uses information from partner sites on its partner sites page. You can manage Google advertising choices in My Ad Center. In regions where consent is required, non-essential advertising purposes are subject to the choices shown in the consent message. More detail is available in the Cookie Policy.

5. Service providers

PDFMK relies on providers acting on our behalf or under their own published terms:

  • Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, network security, and abuse protection.
  • Microsoft Clarity provides behavioral analytics and session-recording tools used to improve site usability.
  • Google AdSense provides advertising delivery, fraud prevention, reporting, and related consent technology.

These providers may process technical data in countries other than your own. Their contractual and technical safeguards govern that processing. PDFMK does not sell the PDFs you submit or exchange their contents with advertisers.

6. Retention

Temporary document files are intended to exist only for the processing request and its cleanup path. Generated downloads are not offered as permanent links. Infrastructure and security logs may be retained for the period configured by the relevant service provider or needed to investigate reliability, abuse, or legal claims, then deleted or aggregated. Support emails are retained as needed to resolve the request and maintain a record of the conversation.

7. Your choices and rights

You can choose not to submit a document, use an approved offline application for sensitive work, delete cookies through browser controls, and manage advertising choices through the consent message or Google controls. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal data associated with you. Because PDFMK has no accounts and temporary documents are removed after processing, we may need enough information to verify and locate a technical or support record.

8. Children

PDFMK is a general productivity service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal information can contact us for review.

9. Changes and contact

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new update date. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to privacy@pdfmk.com. General support is available through the contact page.
